Property tax rises an average 3%
Home owners face an average 3% rise in property taxes from next year, according to private property lobby group VEH.
It bases the claim on local tax rises in 103 of the country’s 400+ local authority areas.
The VEH wants the government to impose a maximum increase on property tax (ozb). The highest increase is in the Noord-Holland rural area of Koggenland where property tax has been put up 27.8%.
Waste water taxes are also going up by an average 5% but waste collection fees are down 1%, the lobby group says.
Yesterday it emerged many local councils are not passing on the savings made by contracting out waste collection services to households.
