Herman Wijffels leads sustainability ranking

Former Rabobank and World Bank director Herman Wijffels is the most influential Dutchman in terms of sustainability for the second year in a row, according to a Trouw newspaper ranking.

A panel of 15 experts ranked Wijffels top of the list for his efforts to persuade people that it is necessary to work towards a more sustainable world.
Wijffels shared the top spot last year with VVD stalwart Pieter Winsemius. Dutch astronaut Wubbo Ockels is in second place.
The list includes 78 men and 22 women, with three women in the top 10. Top ranked woman is GroenLinks leader Femke Halsema.
