Former union chief takes over troubled college group

Doekle Terpstra, head of the hbo college association, has been appointed acting director of the InHolland group in an effort restore order following allegations of diploma fraud and financial irregularities.

Terpstra, former head of the CNV trade union federation, will do the job for one year. The education inspectorate is currently looking into events at the college group and expects to report back next June.
InHolland, which describes itself as a university of applied science in English, has operations in six cities and was formed following the merger of a number of hbo schools.
