Councils keep waste disposal price cuts

Local councils, which have put waste processing out to tender, have reduced costs between 16% and 60%, according to research by Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.


Nevertheless, those savings are rarely passed on to households, the report claims.
It says only The Hague passes on 60% of the savings to its citizens, while Utrecht has actually put waste disposal fees up.
