Arnhem chimp gives birth at 50
A chimpanzee at Burgers’ Zoo in Arnhem has given birth to a healthy baby at the age of 50, making her the oldest chimp mother in Europe, the Volkskrant reports.
Jimmie has already had eight babies, the youngest of which is 16 years old.
Mother and new baby will go on show to the public on Tuesday.
