The owners of tv production company Endemol have written €250m off the company’s value, the Financieele Dagblad reports.

Endemol was bought by investment company Cyrte, Italian media firm Mediaset and merchant bank Goldman Sachs in 2007 for €2.6bn, just before the economic crisis.
Last year the owners wrote off €500m of the company’s value. This latest write-off means Endemol has lost one third of its value in three years, the paper says.
Endemol’s turnover fell 9% to €1.19bn last year and the company made an operational loss of €192m. Turnover in important territories such as France, Germany and Spain fell by 25%.
Endemol is the owner of tv formats such as Big Brother and Deal or no Deal.
