A 60-year-old man has died in a swimming accident while taking part in the Oranje Trophy, a car rally from the Netherlands to South Africa for the World Cup.


The man and a number of others had gone swimming in a lake during a stop over in Malawi when the man apparently got into difficulty and drowned.
The 22-strong caravan of cars left Amsterdam for South Africa on April 3.
