The Liberal party VVD has the best plans to help the country out of the economic crisis, according to two senior Labour supporters – both of whom have served as ministers in previous cabinets.

‘The VVD has the best middle-term results for economic growth, jobs and reducing the national debt,’ according to Wim Vermeend and Rick van der Ploeg, both of whom are now university economics professors.
This advantage stems from the VVD’s plans to lower taxes and stimulate wage moderation, they said.
The D66 (Liberal democrat) economic plans are the second most likely to boost the economy.
The Labour and the Christian Democrat party manifestos do not contain enough details to make a valid comparison, but both economic programmes would appear to do little to stimulate growth, the economists said.
And Labour’s plan to introduce a new top tax rate of 60% will only have a negative effect.
