Brinkman told tv talk show Knevel & Van den Brink that the plan comes from young PVV supporters. ‘I want to give these young people a voice,’ Brinkman said.
PVV leader Geert Wilders has said he does not favour setting up a youth wing at the moment. Dutch political parties traditionally have a special section for young members.
Earlier this month Brinkman caused a major stir by calling for more democracy within the PVV which has only one member – Wilders – and no party conferences.
