Public broadcaster Nos may launch a special news programme for people with low levels of education, the company’s new director Jan de Jong is quoted as saying in the Volkskrant.

Traditional news programmes are too complex and demand a high level of knowledge for some viewers, De Jong said.
‘It is about differentiation. We already have cola, cola light and cherry cola,’ he said.
De Jong is considering simplifiying the level of the traditional six o’clock news broadcast but if that does not work, a special broadcast will be developed, the Volkskrant said.
