Large majority want to keep student grants
Some 85% of Dutch voters want to keep the current system of student grants, according to a Maurice de Hond poll on behalf of the Socialist Party.
At the moment Dutch university and college students fund their education through a combination of a small grant and student loans.
Labour and the two Liberal parties want to phase out the grant element and replace it with another loan. The SP, CDA and PVV want to keep the grant.
The poll also shows 92% of the population think banks which have been bailed out by the taxpayer should not be allowed to pay senior staff bonuses.
A slim majority of 55% also want to keep the state pension age at 65. The pension age is likely to be a central issue in the post election negotiations to form a new government.
