VVD rises in latest poll, Labour still on top
The free-market Liberal party D66 would take 27 seats in the 150-seat parliament if there was a general election tomorrow, making it the second biggest party in the country, according to the latest Maurice de Hond poll.
Support for the VVD has risen by two seats over the past week. The party has 21 seats in the current parliament.
Labour is still the biggest party on 33 seats, down one from a week ago. Third in the rankings are the Christian Democrats, up one seat at 25.
Geert Wilders’ anti-Islam PVV continues to decline, shedding one seat to end on 21. The party had been on 28 seats at its height.
Labour leader Job Cohen is regarded as the most trustworthy party leader with a score of 5.5. Geert Wilders has the lowest score of 2.9.
