Riva bids to take over printing group Roto Smeets

Investment company Riva has made a €12.50 per share offer for stock-exchange listed printing group Roto Smeets, valuing the company at €41m, according to media reports on Thursday.

Riva is one of the biggest shareholders in the printing group with 15.3% of the shares outstanding, according to the Financieele Dagblad.
The offer, which is not yet formalised, is equivalent to a 22% premium on the company’s average share price over the past three months.
Roto Smeets was the subject of a failed takeover bid two years ago.
The company booked a loss of €27.5m last year following a comprehensive reorganisation programme.
