Heineken doubles board bonuses
Brewing group Heineken went against the trend last year and doubled the bonus paid to CEO Jean-François van Boxmeer to €1.12m, the Financieele Dagblad reported on Wednesday.
The figures are contained in the beer maker’s annual report. According to the report, the bonus is based on ‘organic profit growth’ and ‘specific annual targets’.
The bonus took Van Boxmeer’s total remuneration package to €2.5m, up 26% on 2008. CFO René Hooft Graafland earned a total of €1.6m, up 22% on the previous year.
