Dredging group Boskalis books record sales
Boskalis booked record turnover of €2.2bn in 2009, up from €2.09bn in the previous year, the dredging group said on Thursday.
And a well-filled order book bodes well for 2010, CEO Peter Berdowski said.
‘The global recession has also affected our industry and although to date the impact on Boskalis has been limited, we are preparing ourselves for lower volumes of work and lower margins,’ he said in a statement.
‘Despite the current market conditions we look forward to 2010 with confidence in the light of our well-filled order book and the fleet rationalisation program we have launched.’
Full year profit was down slightly on 2008 at €227.9m, but was above the company’s own target of €215m.
