Vast Offering of De Stijl Art in London
Tate Modern has a whopper of a show, with a title to match its size: “Van Doesburg and the International Avant-Garde: Constructing a New World.” Though this is the first major exhibition in the U.K. dedicated to the Dutch artist Theo van Doesburg (1883-1931), its early Modernist scope is larger than the one man, who worked in practically all the art forms extant in his lifetime.
