Hiddink to become Turkey’s new manager
Football coach Guus Hiddink has been appointed new manager of the Turkish national football team on a two year contract.
Hiddink, 63, will take over in August after the World Cup finals in South Africa, Nos tv reports.
His contract with Russia, which failed to qualify for the World Cup, expires on June 30, leaving the way open for a temporary signing, Nos says.
A number of other countries have approached Hiddink about working with them during the World Cup finals, including Nigeria, North Korea and Ivory Coast.
Hiddink has previously managed Real Madrid and Chelsea, as well as South Korea, the Netherlands and Australia.
