Cocaine found in Valentine roses

Customs officers at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport have discovered nine kgs of cocaine in boxes of roses from Colombia.

The cocaine was divided up into 20 gram bags and hidden in 200 boxes containing a total of 20,000 red roses – a special Valentine’s day shipment, the public prosecution department said.
Three people have been arrested in connection with the haul. Raids on homes in Leiderdorp and Lisse netted €65,000 in cash.
