Arrests after Ajax Juventus match

At least 75 Ajax and Juventus football fans were arrested after clashes following Thursday night’s Europa League match between the two clubs in Amsterdam.


Some 550 Italian fans had been banned from the city centre and most of the disturbances took place around the IJ tunnel area, Nos tv said.
There was a large police presence in the city centre, and riot police were in action around the city’s central station, the Waterlooplein market and the Arena stadium itself.
Trams from the main station were halted for a time and several bus and tram windows were smashed, news agency ANP reported.
