Snowball thrower fined €60 for hitting tram

A 28-year-old woman from Amsterdam has been fined €60 for throwing a snowball at a stationary tram, the Telegraaf reports on Wednesday.

Sanne van Driessum was walking through the city enjoying the snow with friends when she threw a snowball at a waiting tram. She was then approached by a member of the police support services and fined €60. ‘It was a soft snowball and no danger to anyone,’ she told the paper.
A police spokesman told the paper Van Driessum had thrown two snowballs hard at the tram and that the agent had given a ‘sworn statement’ to this effect.
