The introduction of a compulsory practical driving test for moped owners has been delayed until at least March next year, the Bovag motoring organisation told the Telegraaf on Tuesday.

The test, which will also involve compulsory lessons for learner drivers, should have been introduced on January 1. The aim of the new test, which is in addition to the theory test, is boost road safety.
A spokesman for transport minister Camiel Eurlings declined to comment on the reports.
