Police in Groningen have arrested 10 youths from the northern town of Musselkanaal for beating up passersby with baseball bats.
The gang, two girls and eight young men aged between 15 and 23, attacked at least six people in September. Most of the victims were children and several were hit so hard the suspects face attempted manslaughter charges, the Telegraaf reports.
‘They went out in a gang after drinking and taking drugs,’ police spokeswoman Sylvia Sanders told the paper.
Police are so far investigating 10 complaints but hope the arrests will encourage other victims to come forward.
