Trousers for KLM stewardesses
Women working as stewardesses and ground crew for airline KLM will be able to wear trousers from next April.
Trousers have been added to the standard uniform on the request of ‘many’ of the company’s 11,000 female staff, the Telegraaf said on Thursday.
Dutch designer Mart Visser is working on the new uniforms, which also include a proper women’s suit for female pilots. Until now, they have had to wear adapted male uniforms.
The current uniform dates from 1990.
