Randstad sees ‘cautious’ recovery
Staffing agency Randstad said on Thursday it had booked net profit of €61m in the third quarter of this year, down 25% on the year-earlier period.
However, there are ‘encouraging’ signs that ‘the revenue trend has become a little better,’ CEO Ben Noteboom said in a statement.
Turnover was down 28% at €3.2bn.
Randstad, one of the biggest staffing agencies in the world, said while there was an upward trend across all operations, ‘the recovery in many markets is still fragile’. But the professionals business show signs of stabilisation, the company said.
