A 25-year-old man has died after being shot in front of his wife and child in Amsterdam on Monday morning.

The man, who has not been named, is reported to have been shot at around 11.20am in Amsterdam West as he stepped out of his car and started walking towards his wife and child, according to local broadcaster AT5. The man died in hospital.
The police say they cannot say whether the man was known to them or comment on possible motives for his death.
