Company investments down 14% in 2009
Businesses will reduce investment by 14% this year and 6.4% in 2010 according to the latest prognosis published by the ING Economic Bureau on Tuesday, reports the Telegraaf.
Companies in the construction sector in particular are expected to spend less on machinery and buildings with a fall of 31% forecast by ING. The industrial sector expects to invest 27% less followed by transport firms (27%).
But despite the slowdown, Dutch businesses will invest around €80bn in 2010, according to the ING report.
