Unions reject Akzo Nobel pay offer

Four unions representing workers at chemical company Akzo Nobel have rejected the company’s final pay offer of 0.5%, news agency ANP reports on Friday.

The unions are calling for a 1.5% rise and a job guarantee for all staff for the next year.
Officials said they are recommending workers turn down the offer and take industrial action unless Akzo Nobel comes up with an improvement.
