Three teams share premier league lead

Victories put PSV Eindhoven, Feyenoord and FC Twente into the joint top spot in the Dutch premier league after this weekend’s fixtures, with PSV ahead on goal difference.

The Eindhoven club beat JC Roda 3-0, Feyenoord won at Willem II 2-3 and Twente beat Utrecht 3-2.
Amsterdam’s Ajax, which beat NAC Breda by a convincing 6-0, is one point behind on 13 points. Last year’s champion AZ lost 2-1 to ADO Den Haag and is now third on 12.
‘It’s tough to be victorious when you fall behind after three minutes,’ coach Ronald Koeman was quoted as saying on the Uefa website. ‘We tried everything after that and put a lot of pressure on, but we created only a few chances. ADO played out the match cleverly and deserved their victory.’
