Supermarket Jumbo bids for Super de Boer
The family owned supermarket firm Jumbo has made a €480m bid for the Super de Boer group, news agency ANP reports on Friday.
French supermarket group Casino, which owns 57% of Super de Boer, supports the €4.20 a share offer, ANP says.
‘The transaction fits in with our growth strategy,’ a spokesman for Jumbo told the news agency. He stressed that no deal has yet been agreed and both sides are in talks.
