Fortis Holding, the rump company left following its partial nationalisation and sale to BNP Paribas, is to further develop itself as an international insurance company, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Friday.

The move, which will involve developing strong partnerships in Europe and Asia, follows a re-evaluation of company strategy, the paper says.
The company is also looking for a new name, considering that the Fortis brand name is now owned by BNP Paribas.
