Foreign minister at 9/11 commemorations
Dutch foreign minister Maxime Verhagen will represent the Netherlands at a memorial service to commemorate the 9/11 terrorist attacks on New York.
Crown prince Willem-Alexander and princess Máxima, in the city for the Henry Hudson celebrations, will also attend the service at a church close to the disaster site.
Verhagen will also speak at the presentation of the Roosevelt Institute’s Four Freedoms Award to US secretary of state Hillary Clinton, the foreign ministry said.
