Tax break for innovative companies
Companies which make a loss on exploiting their patents will be able to fully deduct the amount from tax, junior finance minister Jan Kees de Jager announced on Thursday.
At the moment, innovative firms can only write off 10% of any losses booked on exploiting their patents against tax, news agency ANP reports.
‘Innovative entrepreneurs are very important for the Dutch economy. This measure will give innovative companies who are finding things difficult because of the credit crisis a permanent boost,’ the minister was quoted as saying.
