Goal-keeper arrested for cannabis plants

ADO The Hague’s goal-keeper Gino Coutinho was arrested by police earlier this week in connection with the discovery of 4,500 cannabis plants in a warehouse which he owns in the Noordoostpolder.

Police raided the premises on Tuesday following a tip-off and took Coutinho (27) and a 28-year-old man from Eindhoven into custody, reports the Volkskrant.
A spokeswoman for the ADO told the paper that it has not yet been in contact with its goal-keeper. ‘All we know is that he is being questioned by the police. His girlfriend told us that he had rented out the warehouse.’
She added that as far as the club was concerned Coutinho is innocent until proven otherwise.
