Fortis Bank Nederland, the nationalised Dutch arm of the financial services group Fortis, booked operational profit of €51m in the first six months of this year, compared with €562m in the year-earlier period.

Net profit, including one-offs, reached €338m, the bank said in a statement.
Fortis is currently being integrated into ABN Amro, which was also privatised last year.
