Creche owner killer suspect named

An illegal immigrant hooked on drink and drugs is the chief suspect in the killing of an Amsterdam creche owner earlier this month, police said on Monday evening.

Arzu Cakmakci-Erbas was stabbed to death in a car park after locking up the Moeders Schoot childcare centre in the Geuzeveld district of the city on August 11 in what police said appeared to be a random attack.
On Monday, police circulated photos of Nevzat Koyak, aged 41, who they believe carried out the attack. A reward of €5,000 has been offered for information leading to his arrest.
