Consumer confidence rises in August
Consumer confidence has risen in August although more people are still more negative about the economy than positive, the national statistics office CBS said on Friday.
The consumer confidence index now stands at -17, compared with -24 a month ago.
People are also more positive about their individual financial situation and are more willing to make major purchases, the CBS said.
Consumer confidence has now been rising since April, after hitting an all-time low in March.
