5,400 deaths through unnatural causes

Some 5,400 people died through unnatural causes (suicide, fatal accidents or unlawful killings) last year reports the national statistics office CBS on Wednesday.

Just under half (2,600) of these deaths were caused by accidents (excluding road traffic accidents), said the CBS. Old people over 80 are the most likely to die in an accident, usually a fall, said the CBS.
