The Hague hit by major power cut

At least 50,000 homes in the Hague were without electricity for a time on Friday following a major power cut.

Power supplies were down in parts of the city centre, Rijswijk and Ypenburg. The Bronovo hospital was forced to switch to its emergency generator.
Water supplies in some place were also affected because important pumping stations were shut down.
The cause of the power cut, which lasted for around 90 minutes, is being investigated.
