Soft drink makers to use less energy

The four big soft drink manufacturers in the Netherlands – Coca-Cola, Vrumoma, Refresco and United Softdrinks – have agreed to cut their energy use by 30% over the next decade or so.

The producers will today sign a covenant committing themselves to a 2% annual reduction in energy usage as well as using less water and more green electricity.
The big four account for 80% of the energy used by soft drink makers in Holland.
