Security service pulls Dutch Nato official

The AIVD security service pulled a high-ranking Dutch official working at Nato headquarters in the US because he was possibly open to blackmail, the Telegraaf reports on Thursday.

A spokesman for the AIVD told the paper the man’s security clearance was withdrawn after it emerged there was a risk he could sell secret information to third parties. No further details about the case were given.
The Telegraaf says the man denies the allegations and is fighting his dismissal with the support of several senior Nato officials.
