Man drives car into police station
A 51-year-old man has been arrested after driving his car into police headquarters in Zaandijk, north of Amsterdam on Monday.
The man, who faces charges of vandalism and attempted murder, says he acted out of desperation because ‘the police will not help him’, the Telegraaf reports.
The man drove his car through the sliding doors, damaging them seriously, and came to a halt against the information counter, news agency Novum reports.
The man is divorced and does not want his child to visit his ex-wife, whom he claims is in a relationship with a major criminal, the paper says.
