Motor bike too much for former skater

Former world champion speed skater Rintje Ritsma broke his collar bone while making a few promotional laps to promote his switch to motorbike racing on Tuesday.

Ritsma has been signed up by the Dutch Superbike team for the Dutch open championship, and had his first race on the Assen circuit on Easter Monday. He came last in his event, driving a 1,000 Suzuki.
On Tuesday, Ritsma came off the bike on a corner while making a few laps for reporters following a news conference about his motorbike ambitions. He will be out for two to three weeks, Nos tv said.
