A man who called the emergency services number 293 times was arrested by police in Den Bosch at the weekend, reports ANP news service.

The man called an ambulance when his girlfriend became sick but after examining her, the ambulance staff recommended that she go to her family doctor.
But the man continued calling 112 until the emergency services finally sent police to arrest him. The man, who broke the arm of one of the arresting officers, has been charged with using insulting and threatening behaviour, resisting arrest and physical abuse.
