Scanner to aid child abuse investigations
A scanner which can shows whether a child has been physically abused has been developed by researchers at Amsterdam’s teaching hospital AMC, reports Thursday’s AD.
The scanner shows the age of blood traces and bruises and their origin.
The scanner can also be used in the solution of crimes and is expected to be available for doctors and detectives in two years time, says the paper.
