Sunfish washes up on Katwijk beach

A huge ocean sunfish (mola mola) has been washed up on the coast at Katwijk aan Zee. The fish – 1.2 metres long, was alive when found but died soon afterwards.


Sunfish, which live mainly on jellyfish, is usually found in tropical waters but migrate north around this time of year, the AD reported.
