Heerenveen out of Uefa Cup

Frisian club Heerenveen is out of the Uefa Cup after losing 1-2 to Sporting Braga on Thursday night. Heerenveen has lost all three of its group matches so far.


The final game, against England’s Portsmouth, is in two weeks.
Of the five Dutch clubs taking part in the group stage of the Uefa Cup, Ajax and FC Twente will go through, NEC still has a chance and Feyenoord is out.
PSV Eindhoven, which is out of the Champions League, also has a chance of joining the Uefa competition in the spring.
