Christians pull out of Kampen council

A row over holding events on a Sunday has led to the collapse of the coalition running the town council in the Bible belt town of Kampen, says news agency ANP.

Labour councillors want to organise events on four Sundays a year, but the fundamentalist Christian group SGP is so opposed to the plans that it has pulled out of the coalition.
The SGP says Sunday should be kept as a day of rest.
