Dutch trade with Germany increases
The Netherlands is expected to replace France as the biggest importer to Germany this year, reports Tuesday’s Financieele Dagblad.
German trade figures show that over €35bn worth of goods have been exported from the Netherlands to Germany in the first six months of the year, compared to €34bn from France.
According to the Dutch-German chamber of commerce, high prices for natural gas are a major factor in the rising value of Dutch imports.
