Inflation hits five-year high

The annual rate of inflation rose to 2.3% in May, up 0.3 percentage points on April, according to national statistic office figures.


Increased energy and food prizes were behind the rise. Compared with a year ago, food is 6.3% more expensive while the cost of running a car is up 8.2%, the CBS said.
