Dutch Olympic bid backed by minister
The Netherlands must put itself forward as a candidate to host the 2028 Olympics, economic affairs minister Maria van der Hoeven says in an interview with Monday’s AD.
The event would be an enormous boost for the Dutch economy, Van der Hoeven said. Countries have until 2016 to declare themselves official candidates.
The Netherlands hosted the Olympics in 1928.
